    My ears hurt badly during flights. ✈️ How do you equalize ear pressure safely?

    On descent

    Method How
    Swallow/yawning 😮 Opens eustachian tubes
    Valsalva gently 🤏 Pinch nose and puff softly
    Chew gum 🍬 During descent
    Decongestant if congested 💊 Ask pharmacist first
    • Stay awake
    • Keep swallowing
    • Avoid sleeping through pressure change
