    I burned my hand cooking. 🔥 How do you treat burns and know when they need a doctor?

    Burn first aid: minor vs serious

    Do NOT

    Burn type Care
    Minor (first-degree) 😟 Cool water, loose bandage
    Partial thickness (2nd) 🫧 Blisters; keep clean, seek advice
    Full thickness (3rd) ⚠️ Emergency care
    Large areas 🚨 Emergency
    • Do not apply ice directly
    • Do not pop blisters
    • Do not use butter or oils
