Today marks 30 days smoke-free after 12 years of a pack a day. I wanted to share what surprised me, and ask for advice on the next milestones. 🚭

    Quitting smoking journey

    Timeline of what changed

Time since quitting What I noticed
24 hours Carbon monoxide clears from blood
2 weeks Circulation and breathing improved
1 month Lung function noticeably better 🌬️
3 months Circulation and energy keep improving
1 year Heart disease risk drops by half

What helped me the most 🧠

    • Replacing the habit (tea instead of cigarette breaks).
    • Tracking money saved — over $150 already!
    • Apps that show health milestones.
    • Walking during cravings — they pass in 5–10 minutes.
    • One rule: never one single puff, even “just one”.

For those further along — when did the worst cravings finally fade? And when did you feel “free” from it? 💪
