I have been feeling occasional palpitations for a few months now — usually a few seconds, sometimes with slight dizziness. My resting ECG came back “normal”, which is reassuring but also confusing. 😕

    Palpitations and heart rhythm

    What my cardiologist told me

    Trigger Typical cause
Caffeine or energy drinks Temporary increase in heart rate ☕
Stress or poor sleep Adrenaline spikes causing ectopic beats
    Dehydration Electrolyte imbalance
Anemia or thyroid issues Underlying medical cause

When I was told to seek help immediately 🚨

    • Palpitations with chest pain or fainting.
    • Heart racing that lasts more than a few minutes.
    • Bursts of very fast rhythm at rest.
    • Family history of sudden cardiac events.

Has anyone had a similar experience? Did a Holter monitor or event recorder catch anything? Curious how others handled the uncertainty. 💗
