Recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes (HbA1c 7.2). My doctor recommends a Mediterranean-style diet. 🥗

    Mediterranean diet

    What the diet looks like

    Food group Examples
Vegetables & fruit Tomatoes, leafy greens, berries 🍅
Whole grains Oats, whole-wheat bread, quinoa
Healthy fats Olive oil, nuts, avocado
Fish Salmon, sardines — 2× per week 🐟
Limit Red meat, added sugar, processed food

    Questions

    • Did your blood sugar improve? By how much?
    • How did you handle cravings in the first weeks? 🍫
    • Any easy recipe swaps you recommend?

Feeling motivated but nervous. Your tips mean a lot! 💪
