After years of managing type 2 diabetes with oral medication, my doctor recently added basal insulin. I admit I am nervous about injecting every day. 💉

    Insulin injection diabetes care

What has actually helped me so far

    Tip Why it works
Rotate injection sites Prevents lumps and improves absorption
Use thin, short needles Far less painful than I feared
Inject at the same time daily Builds routine and stable levels 🕒
Keep a log of doses and glucose Helps my doctor fine-tune the dose

    Questions for the community 🗣️

    • How long until injections felt completely normal to you?
    • Any tricks for avoiding bruising at the site?
    • How did you adjust meals around a fixed insulin dose?

Feeling much better after the first week — my fasting glucose dropped significantly. Your experiences would mean a lot! 💙
