I am 6 days post total knee replacement. The pain is manageable but the stiffness is real, and I am anxious about my progress. 🏃‍♂️

    Knee replacement rehabilitation

What my physio says is “on track”

    Milestone Typical timing
    Walking with walker Day 1–2
    Walking with cane 2–4 weeks
    Driving again 4–6 weeks
    Full daily activities 6–12 weeks
    Return to exercise 3–6 months

    Daily rehab essentials 🦵

    • Ice 20 minutes, several times a day.
    • Ankle pumps and heel slides every hour.
    • Quad sets throughout the day.
    • Walk little and often — not long and rarely.
    • Elevate when resting to control swelling.

How long until you walked without any aid? Any exercises that made the biggest difference for you? 💪
